One Star Review Guess Who

Can you guess the classic children’s book by its scathing one-star review on Goodreads or Amazon?

Seriously, who thought this was a good idea to write, publish and distribute. Unfortunately we purchased it – must have been a patron request! How very sad someone actually thinks crayons (if they could talk) would be negative.

I liked this one when it first came out, but now that my three-year-old owns it and I have read it a bajillion times I don’t love it either. Many of the crayons’ complaints are identical (i.e. you use me too much) and the gender politics of the pink crayon in an otherwise apparently male cast is not great. The implication that only girls like pink, and that they are more likely to color inside the lines, kinda grosses me out.
