Notes on October 2013
In October…
…Hervé Tullet was my pen pal.
We now know for sure that Mr. Tullet is a good guy as well as being a great artist. I was surprised and excited that the Press Here creator was game to take part in an illustrated interview. To be honest, I really didn’t want it to end. Is permanent pen pals too much to ask? (editor’s note: yes)

…I pondered a Very Hungry Caterpillar tattoo.
The stages of wearing a temporary tattoo:
Week 1: This will be good for a laugh
Week 2: I can’t believe people think this is real!
Week 3: Where’s the nearest tattoo parlor? Let’s make this permanent.
…we learned exclamation points may be on the rise.
There’s anecdotal evidence. But there’s also a bit of data (discovered via Google’s Ngram Viewer) to back up the rise of the !!!
