Top 10 Circulated Picture Books of the School Year

May 20, 2024 by Travis Jonker   1 comments

Last time I dug into the end-of-the-school-year data, I was sharing the most checked out graphic novels at our K-3 elementary school library.

Today, we’re looking at picture books. And what can I say, when kids like a character, they really like a character – you’ll see a number of repeat faces on this list. And like last time, we have 10 books here, but due to ties we begin the countdown at #6.

I love your lists, Travis! It’s always fun to see which characters and authors came out on top each year.

We have Pigeon and Creepies, too, but also the foods in Josh Funk’s Lady Pancake and Sir French Toast series (we cannot wait for Attack of the Scones!). I’m still #TeamLadyPancake!
And David is another favorite character from Mr. Shannon’s texts.

Have a great end-of-school-year and read all summer!
