A Fallish Newbery/Caldecott 2024 Check-In
Which books are Goodreads members thinking might get some 2024 Caldecott and Newbery consideration this year? It’s been a while, so let’s check in.

First up, Caldecott:

No big surprises here. An American story has been spotted on all the early Mock Caldecott lists, and the next four books are all illustrated by past Caldecott Medal and Honor winners.
Next, Newbery:

The top book on the list is a bit of a surprise here. I’m not sure The Red Ear Blows It’s Nose is as well-known to the general Mock Newbery audience. I haven’t read it yet, either, so that one is going to the top of my to-read list.
