Kidlit TV: The Author/Illustrator Video Jackpot
The other day I decided to visit Kidlit TV. It had been a little while since I’d last been there and I wanted to see what the site has been up to. A lot, it turns out.
The site is full of great videos with children’s book creators. I find these sorts of things perfect for post-story time, allowing kids to hear from an author or illustrator we just read. Or to learn more about a book they love.

Kidlit TV was my first toe dip into kidlit 2 yrs ago, and that one show had it all for me. Being able to put a face to the book authors and illustrators is huge when you are an uber fan. You get to hear why they wrote or illustrated the way they did, and by the end, they are almost like friends, I am amazed at how they have become rock stars, and kids love them. so much for musicians?I like how itheir website is laid out as well, and kids (or grownups) can find what they are interested in. Finally, I like NonFiction Minute (Cool History for people with ADD) and Ready Set Draw, which is the first time I ever felt comfortable drawing (because I suck) because they approach it step by step so you can see what shapes went into making the character. I’m glad you came back, Travis.
