The 2017 Youth Media Awards: pretty good, right? Pretty, pretty good.
But like a cool guy who doesn’t look at explosions, I now have my eyes set forward to 2018.
Pulled from the Goodreads 2018 Mock Newbery and Caldecott lists, here are some books to keep an eye on (preferably both eyes, moving from left to right across the page, reading the words until it says “the end”). Is this any sort of big official list? Nah. These mock lists don’t really get rolling until later in the year, and the number of contributors is small. So let’s call this “just for fun”.
Goodreads 2018 Mock Newbery (as of 3/6/2017):
Goodreads 2018 Mock Caldecott (as of 3/6/2017):
Travis – Ali Standish’s Goodreads and twitter account have her living in the U.K. Does that put “Ethan” out of running for Newbery? I know sometimes authors have dual citizenship. Didn’t know if you had an inside scoop on this one. It’s a great book.
Ali is definitely an American. :) And I agree – ETHAN is a great book! Lovely list, Travis.
Ali Standish is a US citizen and she currently lives in North Carolina ;-)
always a shame that voters for these lists ignore the nonfiction.
