Mythical Beasts of the School Library
It’s the end of the school year around here and books that haven’t been on the shelves all year are returning.
So forgive me for thinking I’m seeing things.

Is that a unicorn I see?
No, just the once a year phenomenon of congregating Minecraft books.
Wait. That’s a Yeti.
Nope, just the rare sight of a whole bunch of Wimpy Kid books sitting on the shelf. I never see that!
Are you seeing this? I swear I’m seeing the Loch Ness Monster right now.
Ohhh – I was wrong. It’s just a never-before-seen huge batch of Elephant & Piggie books all together.

This made me smile and it is hard to make me smile with 4 days of school left. Thank you!
It’s hard to teach students that Elephant & Piggie books are shelved by the author’s last name when they know perfectly well the only place to find them is on the book return cart.
YES! Haha, this is the best comment!
Cute…and SO true!
Hahaha! This is so true! Also making their annual appearance are Smile, Sisters, and Drama! ???
Haha, loved this post. The best time to check out books must be in the days just before summer’s start, although I imagine it’s a thin line between being able to check out a copy while it’s available, and being able to finish it in time for the end of the school year.
