Everybody Plays the Cat (Sometimes)
There’s no exception to the rule.
Every librarian will one day be The Cat in the Hat. Today is my day. Have a happy Halloween everyone!

Wait! We want pictures! We want pictures!
I played The Cat years ago–made the costume myself as there wasn’t one to purchase back then (I’m dating myself.) The hat was made from poster board! Happy Halloween, Travis (and yes, we want pictures of you IN the costume!)
What kind of a picture is that! You can post a selfie! Please 🙂
The commercial costume (that Random House sends out to bookstores, etc) is the WORST character costume I ever had to wear in my long bookstore career! Your face is in the cat’s neck, and you see through a little gap in the bowtie. Very claustrophobic! Hope yours was more comfortable!
