Link Du Jour: Number Five Bus Presents…
It’s time to get your children’s literature nerd on. The Caldecott-Medal-winning team of Philip and Erin Stead just started up a blog Number Five Bus Presents… where they converse with other folks in the business of making books for kids. The first episode (note to self: start calling my blog posts episodes) is up – a wide-ranging conversation with author/illustrator Eric Rohmann. Upcoming episodes will feature Cece Bell, Rebecca Stead, Mac Barnett, any every other person I can’t wait to see interviewed.
If you’re anything like me, this is must-read stuff. Click the image below to get started, and bookmark accordingly.

First episode was awesome; can’t wait for the rest!
Same here. Sam – i love this idea. And I love the format too – one great post every Monday
That was lovely. I adore all three Steads and can’t wait for that 2023 collaboration.
Ha – same here. I also love the idea of Erin and Rebecca being awarded each other’s medals (although it appears to happen more to Erin than Rebecca. Overall, the honesty that comes out in these interviews is refreshing. Makes for some engaging reading.
