I prefer (School) Librarian since I worked very hard to get my MLS degree in addition to all the undergraduate education courses. The MLS degree also allowed me to work as a children’s librarian in the public library which I did on a p/t basis for 5 years.
CT uses the title “Library Media Specialist” on the certificate. However, there are certified Library Media Specialists who have gone through alternate routes to certification after first careers as classroom teachers.
