Casting Call! Children’s Literature: The Movie: Chapter 2

November 26, 2013 by Travis Jonker   10 comments

Financing is in place, locations are being scouted, the script is in the final re-write – it’s time to cast Children’s Literature: The Movie: Chapter 2.

Let’s put together another list of actors who could play today’s children’s literature luminaries. The cast we created for the first film was impressive, but judging by the comments, we just scratched the surface of authors and illustrators with Hollywood doppelgängers.

Do you have a good children’s literature celebrity look-alike to share? Are you a children’s lit author or illustrator and have a look-alike people tell you about? Is it one we didn’t include in the last cast? Post it in the comments or (if you’re shy) send me an email (scopenotes@gmail.com). Be peppy if possible – I’ll try to post the star-studded cast (and, hey, why not a script concept?) soon.

The ages don’t quite match for either of these, but…
    Edward Norton as Jon Klassen?
    Mae Whitman as Holly Black?

    And then,
Kevin Doyle as Roald Dahl (I was gonna say David Wiesner b/c Dahl was already cast last time, but the photo you used last time looks so much like Kevin Doyle!)
