My job has changed. In the past, I’ve split time between four elementary schools, working on a flexible schedule. This year I’ll be at one school, with a more fixed day. I’m thrilled with the change and also a bit nervous. But even though I’ll be up every hour on the hour tonight, I can’t wait to get started.
Have a great school year everyone.

How nice that you will be at one school this year! Best wishes for a great school year, Travis!
As a woman who is married to a very happy teacher, it’s the same in our house every year! He walks the floors the night before the first day of school and runs on pure adrenaline the first week. Great teachers don’t start the year with dread, but with enthusiasm! Have a WONDERFUL year and congrats on your regular schedule!
Ha! Love it! That’s definitely a teacher’s night before the first day of school! Good luck!
We start on Tuesday (tomorrow) too! My kids have been up late last night so I am nervous about everyone getting up on time. Hope your first day is wonderful Travis! Congrats on your new position!
Congrats on only being in one school this year. I bet Niki is especially happy. 🙂
Here’s to a great school year and good luck with all your Caldecott reading! I’m really starting to get invested in the Caldecott winner this year. So many amazing picture books have suddenly started popping up.
