2012 National Book Award Finalists Announced!

You know how this goes. Since my wheelhouse is squarely K-6, I greet the annual announcement of the National Book Award finalists for Young People’s Literature with a mixture of excitement and complete ignorance. Typically, there are a couple on the list that I’m familiar with, and a few that reside in the YA world, of which I am generally an uninformed fool. This year I’m particularly out of my element. I’m currently reading (and enjoying!) Bomb by Steve Sheinkin, but that’s where my experience with these finalists ends. Who are they, you ask?
