This is beautiful. Missing May is one of my favorite books. Why are the smallest books always the saddest ones? I love the cover but I wonder why you chose pink for the majority? The pattern seems right–kind of tear-stained–but I wonder if there was a reason you chose that particular palette. The tree is perfect!

I love Missing May too. And I definitely like your cover better than the original. It has kind of an Appalachian feel to it.
