Cover Curiosity: Dissimilar? Neigh.
About a year or so into my Cover Curiosities run, I came across Pop Culture Junkie, a blog I would come to know as the Champion of Stock Photo Book Cover Lookalikes. Seriously, I don’t even know how she does it. Puts my “heh, hey – these books vaguely resemble each other” pairings to shame.
Today I have a stock-photo-separated-at-birth-middle-grade-meets-novel-for-grown-ups situation for your enjoyment. So I’m feeling like I beat Pop Culture Junkie to the punch! Too bad I can’t take credit for it (*head droops in shame while those sad game show horns play in background*). A shout goes out to Helen (Hellllllennn!) for this one.

Oh snap! Good on you! While I always thought the horse on the cover of War Horse was beautiful, after I read and reread the book, I kind of wished they found one with the facial markings. That would have been something.

Haha! Thanks for your kind words! Being a graphic designer I think seeing lookalikes is just part of my nature. But I will say I have a lot of great people that submit them to me, I have a giant backlog of them to post! But here you have indeed beat me to it, I haven’t seen this one!

Yes!! I mean, thank you for your comments – and for your excellent blog.
