If you’re a school librarian, you’re gonna want to check out School Libraries: What’s Now, What’s Next, What’s Yet to Come. The brainchild of Buffy Hamilton and Kristin Fontichiaro, this free, downloadable e-book is a crowdsourced collection of essays from folks in the library field.

When I downloaded it I had to check my outfit to make sure I wasn’t suddenly in the future (nope, no shiny jumpsuit to be seen). Why the futuristic visions? When I saw that the book was available I downloaded it and was enjoying it on my unnamed e-reader device in a matter of moments – this whole “access to information” thing can be pretty nice. Anyway, since things are getting all futuristic, I’m off to eat some of this…
