What are the Eisner Awards? From the source:
The Will Eisner Comic Industry Awards are considered the “Oscars” of the comic book industry. They are handed out each year in a gala ceremony at Comic-Con International: San Diego, the largest and oldest comics convention in the United States.
Who’s nominated this year?
I’m pumped to see Geisel Honor recipient (and 100 Scope Notes Best New Book selection) Stinky on the “Publication for Kids” list. That’s going to be my pick for grabbing the hardware.
For the “Best Publication for Teens” category, I’ll be pulling for Rapunzel’s Revenge – a title that would have been a Best New Book, if I had just mustered up the vim to have reviewed it. Yep, I’m chalking that oversight up to low levels of vim.
