First up, the Undies Case Cover Awards. What’s a case cover, you ask? This is a case cover:

It’s what you see when you remove the jacket from a book. Now, most case covers are pretty boring: plain paper or sporting the same image as the jacket.

But there are some case covers that get creative. That’s what the Undies Case Cover Awards are here to recognize.

Here’s how The Undies will work:

Now through November 15th, 2024 we are accepting nominations* for the best case covers of the year.

After nominations close, we will announce shortlists in a variety of categories and then we’ll open up the polls. The winner will be decided by popular vote (that means you). We’ll announce the winners shortly thereafter.

*To nominate a case cover for the 2024 Undies:

Make sure your nomination was published in 2024. If so, take a photo of the front cover (jacket on) AND the case with the jacket removed (click here to see examples).

CLICK HERE TO SUBMIT for the UNDIES AWARDS!

*NOTE* You must have a Google account to submit.

Anyone (including publishers) can nominate. You can nominate as many books as you’d like.

It’s time to recognize this unsung part of the book – what do you say?

Now for the Endies Endpaper Awards.

You know what endpapers are, right? These are endpapers:

They’re the first thing you see when you open the cover of a book. Endpapers are often pretty boring: pain paper in one color or another.

But sometimes, the endpapers are beautiful. Sometimes, they even add to the story.

We want to honor the most creative endpapers of the year, and so the Endies Endpaper Awards were born.

Here’s how The Endies will work:

Now through November 15th, 2024 we are accepting nominations* for the best endpapers of the year

After nominations close, we will announce our favorites.

*To nominate end papers for the 2024 Endies:

Make sure your nomination was published in 2024. If so, take a photo of the front endpapers AND the back endpapers (click here to see an example).
