READ! What’s New in the READ Poster World

January 11, 2024 by Travis Jonker   1 comments

You know I love my READ posters. I joke about them. I am heartbroken when they inexplicably disappear. ALA is always coming out with new ones, so why don’t we have a look at the fresh crop? All of them, including the classics, are available here.

Always great to see the previous year’s Caldecott winner with the READ poster.

Knight Owl poster by Christopher Denise

And the 2023 Caldecott Honor winner also get some poster love.

Pete the Cat poster by James Dean

You know a character is popular when they have TWO read posters. Pete the Cat is that kind of character.

Meg Medina poster

I love seeing this one. Our current National Ambassador for Young People’s Literature Meg Medina has a new READ poster.

Jason Reynolds poster

And let’s not forget our last Ambassador, Jason Reynolds – also well deserved.

So Many Ways to Read poster by Benjamin Chaud

I love posters like this, with multiple illustrations.

Gustavo the Shy Ghost poster by Flavia Z. Drago

When a book I love becomes a read poster, it’s a beautiful thing.

Tiny T. Rex poster, by Jay Fleck

Don’t overlook the growing popularity of Tiny T. Rex – today a READ poster, tomorrow world domination.
