‘This crap really fires me up’ FRED GETS DRESSED Gets Challenged

If I tried to cover all the book challenges going on right now, I’d die at the keyboard. It seems like I hear about a new one every day.
How best to sum up all the hysteria? Dispiriting? Infuriating? Yes and yes. Also, mark me down as ditto with what author/illustrator Peter Brown recently said when his book Fred Gets Dressed was recently challenged in Kansas:
