Books on Film: Bob Staake’s ‘Bluebird’ Becomes an Animated Short

Some picture books you just know would translate well into animated form. Problem is, it rarely happens. Aside from the handful of books that get the Weston Woods treatment every year, most stay in paper form only.
Bluebird by Bob Staake (one of the best picture books of 2013) was always a book that struck me as being ripe for animating. So I was delighted to see a Bluebird animated short pop up.
