To everyone who has bought, read, shared, reviewed, and recommended the book: thank you. It means so much to me.

I’m celebrating in two ways.
- I’m giving away five copies (click here to enter)
- I’m sharing a comic about how the book was made.
Before the book came out, I wrote and drew a comic about how the story was written. Abrams printed them we gave them away with people who pre-ordered the book. Today I’m sharing the comic online for the first time.

Happy first birthday to the book! Thank you for sharing the comic. It and your book are wonderful. It’s interesting to see the behind-the-scenes hardwork it takes to get a book published. And the pun-niness of the editor saying, “on the same page” gave my day a great start.
Congratulations! I loved the Very Last Castle! It’s circulating very well in our library system! The kids love it too!
