First up . . .
Best Publication for Early Readers (up to age 8)
Good Night, Planet by Liniers (Toon Books)
This is the latest in a string of strong TOON Book offerings from the Argentinian cartoonist, preceded by The Big Wet Balloon and Written and Drawn by Henrietta.
Best Publication for Kids (ages 9–12)
The Tea Dragon Society, by Katie O’Neill (Oni)

I like surprises when it comes to these awards – it gives everyone something to look into that they may not have seen. For me that’s the case with The Tea Dragon Society. I haven’t read this one, but I’m looking forward to it now.
