Link Du Jour: E-Books in Libraries = Craziness
Welcome to the Digital Wild West, where the fate of e-books seems completely up in the air. Rules are made on the fly. Agreements are broken, patched up, and broken again. While I’m optimistic about the future of e-books in public and school libraries, it’s clear that there’s going to be a lot of flailing before things start making sense again.
The latest? Penguin has terminated it’s contract with Overdrive, the leading supplier of library e-books.
