Covering the Newbery (#1): The Story of Mankind
Every Monday, I’ll redesign the cover of a Newbery Medal-winning book – starting with the first winner, The Story of Mankind, and working up to today – and post the results. To keep from over-analyzing, here are my rules:
- I’ll use FlickerCC to search for Creative Commons-licensed images using keywords related to the book being redesigned.
- I’ll use Photoshop or websites PicMonkey and Splashup to create the finished product.
Some might be train wrecks, others might be…merely annoying fender-benders.
