The Scoop: PaleoJoe Brings Class on Dino-Dig!
As I reported on November 9th, digger of dinosaurs/Mackinac Island Press author PaleoJoe recently made an author visit to the elementary schools I work at. Fun was truly had by all – Mr. Joe knows how to win over a room full of kids. Before he began his presentation, he mentioned a contest where an entire class with get the chance to go with him on a three-day, honest-to-goodness dinosaur dig in Wyoming. The entire state of Michigan could enter. Well who should win but the class right across the hall from the media center! Now don’t that just beat all?
PaleoJoe delivered the news in person. Excitement, cameras, TV news people, and cheering all came at once. They even handed out one of those giant prize-winning checks. I was hoping I’d get the chance to see one of those in person. What a great start to the day!
