Kickstarting an Independent Publisher
I have favorite publishers. And one of them is Enchanted Lion.
Enchanted Lion books (and their excellent reissues) are consistently the most unique and daring stuff out there. They make the world of children’s literature more interesting and beautiful.

ELB is a small independent publisher, and, due to the pandemic, economic times are tough right now. So they’ve launched a Kickstarter campaign to get them through.
If you’re a fan of children’s literature, consider supporting this great publisher.

Thank you very much for bringing this to our attention. Enchanted Lion publishes wonderful picture books, and also other literary works. This is the first I have heard of an embattled small press resorting to Kickstarter to raise funds. It’s unfortunate that the smaller publishers are going to suffer disproportionately.
This is a link to my review of a distinguished YA novel from Enchanted Lion. Like many of their works, it is a translation, an underrepresented category in American children’s books:
