Covering the Newbery (#45): I, Juan de Pareja
I always redo the covers of Newbery-winning books here, but why not titles? I mean, there’s a lot of potential there. Take I, Juan de Pareja, for instance. Why not give it a cooler title? Actually, they already did:

This is the Spanish edition, but I think English-speaking kids would be willing to learn a new language to read a book with such a hip title.

“Pretty weird,” perhaps, but I happen to love your cover– this may be possibly my favorite recover yet. (I haven’t actually read the book to tell how well it reflects the contents– but I WOULD pick it up, at least!)
