I was checking to see how our most recent Newbery winner, The Last Cuentista by Donna Barba Higuera, was faring on the New York Times bestseller list. Pretty, pretty good:

It debuted at #2.

Side note: Wonder by R.J. Palacio has now become an unstoppable force. It will soon join earth, water, air, and fire as the fifth element of matter.
And it was good to see LAST year’s Newbery winner, When You Trap a Tiger by Tae Keller, high on the list at #4.
Yes, the Newbery Jump is alive and well.
