Books on Film: New Kid Controversy

A Texas school district has cancelled a virtual author visit with New Kid creator, Jerry Craft. Was it because of student complaints? Of course not! It was because of some parent who can’t bear to see her kids exposed to the perspective of someone who looks different than them. Stuff like this really makes me mad.
