In a matter of days the biggest awards in children’s literature will be dished out in Chicago. The Newbery and Caldecott medals are just the tip of the iceberg at the ALA Youth Media Awards. I’ll be in attendance and am excited as all get out.

So…. I shared a taxi tonight with you and when my friend joined me at the hotel she said “Hey!! Do you realize you just shared a cab with TRAVIS JONKER?”
Thank you for listening to my insane rantings about Shaun Tan and… well… Other things I guess. On reflection I felt like I hogged up all the airspace. I spent this whole weekend actually finding out that I know basically nothing about anything or anyone. What a ride.::
