Link Du Jour: I Need This
Now that this whole children’s literature blog thing has been around for a while, I feel like we can start naming some clichés of the form. One of them would certainly have to be complaining about your to-read pile. I’m as guilty as anyone, constantly moaning about how many well written, enjoyable books I need to read. Folks with sizable to-read piles should take a look at the read-unread bookshelf:

Designed by Niko Economids, it makes your to-read pile progress pretty clear. Read or unread – which weighs more? By the way (and playing right into the children’s lit blog cliché I mentioned earlier) my unread pile would be resting comfortably on the floor. Off to right that situation!

If there weren’t more books I wanted to read than I could possibly read, I would become depressed. This is one reason I’m a librarian. Being surrounded by interesting books all day calms me.
