Cover Controversy: The Evil Twin
Now usually in these posts, I put up a couple books that look alike, we all laugh (oh, wait, that was just me?), and move on.
Today is different. I’m not sure if two covers have ever been as similar, yet so different.

You may be familiar with the first cover:
Animal Families.
I like this book. Kids like this book. I’m not sure what to think about it’s evil twin.

Nice. Obviously a stock photo that anyone can use. But, I am way more curious about the “eveil” twin than I am about the first one!
Of course, I meant evil. Sometimes my fingers type faster than my brain moves and I hit submit before I know what happened!
That evil twin looks hilarious. I wonder if it is in anyway similar to Disapproving Rabbits in format and tone. Has anybody actually seen a copy?
I want to read the evil twin, too. There’s a reason I’m a middle school librarian. My sophomoric humor tolerance quotient is quite high.
The evil twin started out as a blog — it’s pretty funny (but has lots of cussing.) The book title is also the web address.
Emily – Thanks for the tip – I just checked out the website and it was funny stuff. Now it’s all making sense. By the way, love what you guys are doing on Wait, Wait.
Ha – I want to check out the twin as well.
There is no way I would read that evil twin. Ever. I love animals and even making fun of them or just kidding I don’t go for.
What I think is hilarious is that I’ve been reading the fupenguin blog for years, and just started yours this week, so I think the Animal Families book is the evil twin. Nice catch, though.
