A Helpful Guide to Common Editor’s Marks

Don’t look now, but writing longhand is making a comeback (or maybe it never left?).

So, people interested in the hand-written word, I made this guide for you. A straightforward list of common editor’s marks and what they mean.

Capitalize
Add a period
Change the setting to a mountain
No, wait – a mountain with a train tunnel. That would be cool
Have the characters get sno-cones
Whee!
Add a creepy broken seesaw
It’s a trap!
Character eats a Twinkie
How do you make a hashtag again?
Make the characters climb a tall hill

I think that’s all of them. I hope this was helpful!
