    This is not a criticism of the books he chose to discuss, just an observation concerning what he did NOT post. I wish that he discussed, say, Walter Dean Myers first book, which was rejected many times. When Walter received the rejected manuscript back, he ironed it on an ironing board and sent it out again. There are many more stories that could have found about books. He missed an opportunity to embrace a bigger world, one that I know–KNOW–that John believes in and works to achieve.
