On the Eve of the School Year

image1 500x375 On the Eve of the School Year

While Labor Day is often seen as the unofficial end of summer around the country, in Michigan this holds especially true – the first day of public school is typically the following Tuesday. And this is going to be one heck of a year.

My job has changed. In the past, I’ve split time between four elementary schools, working on a flexible schedule. This year I’ll be at one school, with a more fixed day. I’m thrilled with the change and also a bit nervous. But even though I’ll be up every hour on the hour tonight, I can’t wait to get started.

Have a great school year everyone.

As a woman who is married to a very happy teacher, it’s the same in our house every year! He walks the floors the night before the first day of school and runs on pure adrenaline the first week. Great teachers don’t start the year with dread, but with enthusiasm! Have a WONDERFUL year and congrats on your regular schedule!

  3. Ha! Love it! That’s definitely a teacher’s night before the first day of school! Good luck!
