Cover Curiosity: Here Be Dragons

Shhh! Our first cover curiosity of the new year is a rare picture book/chapter book pairing. We must be very quiet, or we’ll scare them away.

First up…

Where the Mountain Meets the Moon by Grace Lin

And to complete the pair…

The Magic Brush by Kat Yeh, illustrated by Huy Voun Lee

Side by Side:

The blues and reds, the girl, the dragon – clear curiosity material here.

  1. Ha! I spent last night once the children were in bed cutting out 60 dragon masks ready for storytime later this week… (we’ll be reading Sam and the Luck Money, and Long-Long’s New Year, then decorating the masks, having a parade, and making chinese money to put in red envelopes…)

  2. Lovely! Wish I’d seen these before I made my New Year’s card, I went with boring green for my dragons, red and blue would have been better.
